Alan & I have been so looking forward to having our Mums from Queensland. They arrived in Sri Lanka on Christmas Eve, 16 hours from BNE-CMB with 2hrs stop-over in Singapore. We picked them up, had a quick lunch so that they could catch a nap and freshen up for the evening Christmas Eve dinner.
Rasika did a fabulous job with all the prep work, and helping Alan to prepare the entire meal. The 4-course meal was simply amazing, too sumptuous to even have a second to think of snapping pictures of the food which I am regretting now, of course. This Christmas would have to be our BEST here in Sri Lanka, and having our Mums here made it all more special. Thanks Mums!
The next morning, we woke up to Rasika's waffles with passionfruit ice-cream & fresh fruits (yes, he's a hardworking lad). And then we headed off to Hilton Colombo for Christmas Lunch. Again, Hilton Colombo never failed to impress us with the food quality and variety. And the service was immaculate. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and the Executive Sous Chef Wasantha was such a perfect host, making sure that we were well taken care of. Thanks Chef!
