Rasika just received a call from his mother this evening. His brother who was in the Navy lost his life. He was young, single, and still had so much ahead of him.
I drove Rasika back to Hikkaduwa, in the middle of the night so that he could be with his family. It was also my first time driving out of my comfort zone area (15km MAX) and drove in and out of Colombo city, and then to Hikkaduwa (about 140km, one way).
I couldn't even bring myself to tell him that we had brought Bodhi to her new home, he didn't get to say goodbye to Bodhi. And he didn't get to see his brother one last time. :(
