I found this dead scorpion on the driveway this morning, I believe Bodhi might have killed it. We probably have seen at least 3 scorpions in our garden, and perhaps a dozen of snakes. The yards in our neighbour's garden is quite a problem for us, there's no one living in there - and of course, the garden is not taken care of. Sri Lankans believe it to be a bad omen to kill snakes, but I'd like to think of safety for my loved ones (kids especially), and so I would not consider twice to kill a snake. Would you?
Anyway, I think Bodhi saved us from being stung by the scorpion; I fed that to the chickens. I hope she will not try to pull the same stunt with snakes. We can now identify from her bark that if there's strangers at the gate, or if she sighted some strange animals, and again different bark for cats and birds.
